Who We Are
Maraba AI is a technology company providing AI call handling services to Nigerian businesses. We are the data controller for personal data processed through our platform.

Data We Collect
Business clients: name, email address, business name and type, phone number, billing information, and platform usage data.
Callers: caller phone number (stored as a one-way hash), call recordings, transcripts, and AI-generated summaries. Raw caller numbers are never stored in plain text.
How We Use Your Data
To provide and improve the Maraba service, including AI call handling, transcription, and summary generation.
To send post-call summaries to business clients via WhatsApp or email.
To generate aggregate analytics on call volume, language distribution, and intent categories.
To comply with legal obligations under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and related regulations.
Data Retention
Call recordings are retained for 90 days by default and may be extended by clients on Pro and Enterprise plans. Transcripts and summaries are retained for 12 months. Account data is retained for the duration of the subscription plus 6 months after closure.
Your Rights
Under the NDPA you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You may also object to processing or request data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact privacy@maraba.ai.
Third-Party Services
Maraba uses carefully selected third-party providers for telephony, cloud storage, and notifications. All sub-processors are bound by data processing agreements that require equivalent levels of data protection.
Changes to This Notice
We may update this notice periodically. Significant changes will be communicated to registered users by email.
